Scholarships

ScholarshipsThe Colorado Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. offers an annual scholarship for students majoring in a variety of environment and horticulture related fields.  The guidelines and forms for this scholarship are the same as for the National Garden Clubs, Inc. scholarship, which are available on their website: www.gardenclub.org. Click on Youth and go to Scholarship on the pull down menu. All scholarship applications are considered at the state level first, and the winner of our $2000.00 state scholarship is then automatically considered for the $4000.00 national scholarship.

Some of the guidelines include the following: GPA of 3.25 or higher, legal resident of Colorado (need not be attending school in Colorado), not currently a college freshman, required academic major, and planning a career in a required field. Forms include the Application Form, Financial Aid Form, all Official Transcripts, a Personal Letter discussing background, financial need, and future goals, a List of Activities within the last 3 years, and 3 Letters of Recommendation. Deadline for the scholarship is February 1.
