KAREN BOOKER, INSTRUCTOR
Karen graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in education and spent several years teaching high school Spanish and French.  She continued her education at the University of Kansas and earned a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language and a Ph.D. in Linguistics, with a specialty in American Indian Languages.  A gardener her entire life, Karen currently concentrates on orchids and ivies and recently became a daylily judge for the American Hemerocallis Society.  Karen is an NGC Accredited Master Judge and in her spare time, she enjoys competing with her dogs in agility, a sport where dog and handler run obstacle courses against the clock.
MARY HUNTOON, INSTRUCTOR
Mary is an accredited Master Judge for National Garden Clubs and also an accredited Judge for The Garden Club of America in both Design and Horticulture.  She currently serves on the NGC Flower Show Accrediting Committee, as well as serving at both the Regional and State levels.  For MA, Mary serves as the State Flower Show Chairman and the State Credentials Chairman.  Mary is a past President of the Hamilton-Wenham Garden Club and a past Chairman of MA Judges Council.  She is a member of North Shore Garden Club, Creative Flower Arrangers, National Flower Arrangers and North Shore Horticulture Society.
