What is Colorado Gives Day?
Join one of the largest one-day giving movements in the country.
Each December Coloradans come together with the common goal to strengthen the community by helping to power nonprofits. Community First Foundation and FirstBank partner to make this day rewarding for givers, nonprofits and the community as a whole.
Every nonprofit receiving a donation on Colorado Gives Day received a portion of the fund, increasing the value of every dollar donated. Colorado Gives Day has grown to be the state’s largest one-day online giving event, raising more than $182 million since it began in 2010.
Who created it?
Community First Foundation, a community foundation serving metro Denver, created the initiative in 2010 with the financial support of Colorado-based FirstBank.
What is ColoradoGives.org?
ColoradoGives.org is a year-round online giving website featuring nearly 1,500 Colorado nonprofit organizations. Made possible by Community First Foundation, it encourages year-round charitable giving by providing comprehensive, objective and up-to-date information about Colorado nonprofits and an easy way to support them online.
How can Colorado nonprofits get involved?
ColoradoGives.org serves as the platform for donors to learn about participating nonprofits and make online donations on Colorado Gives Day. To participate, nonprofits need to join the year-round site and create a ColoradoGives profile. Nonprofits already featured on ColoradoGives.org must update their profile annually.
