Plant A Tree
Floral Art Study was one of the Clubs in the Northern Front Range District that hosted the CFGC Convention and received a Tree Grant of $125.00. We added some of our funds and picked out a beautiful Blue Spruce to be planted in Wolff Park in Arvada where we have previously put trees for past members.
The Arvada Parks and Recreation Dept., Ian MacDonald, Austin and crew helped us choose a spot, dig the hole and plant it on July 15, 2021. This will be a great memorial for our members that have passed in the last few years. We Miss You!!
Each One Plant One
Our National President, Mary Warshauer, would love for each member to plant a native tree during her administration. This project began in the fall of 2019 as Gay Austin’s initiative.
As the Trees and Shrubs and Each One Plant One Chairman, I would love to receive a list from State Presidents of trees planted by their members.
Please e-mail me your information including your name, your state, the trees planted, preferably native, (both botanical and common name), and where and when it was planted by May 1,2022. I will compile a list and announce our numbers at the 2022 Convention and again at the 2023 convention. How fun it will be to hear about our successful tree plantings across our nation and internationally this coming year!
